What is a Tactical Athlete?

A Tactical athlete is someone who has chosen a life of service. Someone that is required to use their body to a high physical level to carry out their specific tasks, this can range from an Immediate response paramedic to a UK Special Forces soldier.

The Base Training Tactical Athlete Mission

The mission of the base training tactical athlete coaching service is to enhance the Lifestyle, Nutrition and Physical capabilities of the tactical athlete, so that they may carry out their task to the highest possible criteria for the longest possible time.

 We aim to prepare potential members of the UKSF for the extreme rigours of the selection processes and service within the respective groups.

Who is Base Training Tactical for?

 Our Tactical athlete coaching program is geared towards anyone that is preparing for or serving within the:
·     United Kingdom Emergency Services (Police, Fire Service, Paramedics)
·      British Forces (Army, Royal Navy, Royal Air Force)
·      Royal marines
·      Parachute regiment
·      UK Special Forces
(SAS, SBS, SRR, SFSG, SFC, PF)

Individualisation:

Each athlete is treated as a unique individual, at no point will the athlete receive templated program design. We believe that to truly develop you to your maximum potential each athlete requires one coach. At all times we will consider the areas outside of your physical training, including your lifestyle (personal and professional) and your nutritional needs.

Structure:

Each athlete will require a structured plan. Structured programming is a programming paradigm aimed at improving the clarity, quality, and development time of an athlete by making extensive use of the structured control flow constructs of, periodisation, macro, meso and micro cycling, selection and repetition, block structures and subroutines, tempo and rest times. This means we ensure that you know exactly what you are meant to be doing and when you should be doing it

Progression

Each athlete needs to be able to move gradually, appropriately towards their specific and personal goals, at a rate that allows them to be successful and towards a more advanced state of performance.

Specificity:

Our coaching service is specific to the individual and specific to the goal. Each program is designed to help the tactical athlete to reach and exceed the demands of the test, considering their individual needs and limitations.

Technology:

Through the use of our third-party application Truecoach. You are able to receive your individual program where ever you are in the world. And through the use of consultation applications such as Skype and Zoom, we are able to hold regular consultations with your coach in order to ensure your program is working for you and that you are carrying out the task required to ensure your success.
