Why you should do this one thing.

Multitasking is a valuable tool and by implementing it in different areas of your life you are able to get lots done. Multitasking is the ability to carry out more than one task at a time – this could be running and reading, lifting and talking, or texting and driving. I’m hope you can guess from the examples that I have given that I don’t consider multitasking to always be a good thing!

I’m sure you can all think of occasions when you can multitask perfectly well, however if we try to do this too much, it’s likely we aren’t doing either task to the best of our ability. The most common example of multitasking that we do every day would be walking and talking. I’m sure we can all think of a situation where we have been doing just that and we have tripped, bumped into someone, or conversation has stopped because you have had to cross the road.

I know that we all live in a busy, constantly connected world and it is hard to find time to get things done but with this one suggestion I’m sure you’ll end up having more time to do the things that you enjoy. Try focusing on one thing at a time.

For example, when you are in the gym focus on just that – clear your mind from other distractions all that matters at that point in time is what you’re doing. If you have other things that you want to do or you remember something note it down and give it the time that it needs and don’t let it distract you from the task in hand.

I know this may sound obvious but sometimes we all need a little reminder!
