4 overnight oat recipes that make your morning easy.

Are you looking for a quick breakfast that you can customise to your taste and add new things? Then overnight oats are probably the thing for you. Below I have given you the base for this breakfast and four different options. However I suggest trying your own variations with the foods you like.

Base for all overnight oats

70-100g oats
2-3 tbsp Chia seeds
Enough milk to just cover the oats and seeds when all mixed together.

Raspberries and yogurt

Take ¾ cup raspberries (frozen) and add to the mixture the night before. Add a little more milk if needed so that all the ingredients are covered. Leave overnight then just before eating add greek yogurt, a few toasted pumpkin seeds and a drizzle of honey.   

Peanut butter and banana

Add 2 tbsp peanut butter to the milk and chia seeds. Don’t worry about the peanut butter not mixing through as it will look quite cool having swipes of butter in the finished product. Fold the oats in and leave overnight. Top with sliced banana and flax seeds just before eating.

Strawberry cheesecake oats

Take 1 cup of strawberries, ½ cup of greek yogurt, ¾ cup of milk and 30g of cream cheese and a teaspoon of vanilla extract, and blend together in a processor. In a bowl fold together the mixture, oats and chia seeds. Place in a jar and leave overnight finish with a few strawberries for decoration. This one also makes a good desert.  

Protein cookie dough

This is as simple as they come. Add 1 scoop of icon cookies and cream whey protein and 2 tbsp almond butter to the mixture. Leave overnight. If you want to add a bit of a chocolate kick to it, finish with some 90% chocolate flakes.
